Dr. Tushar Tushar J. Vachharajani, MD, FASN, FACP

Dr. Vachharajani has been practicing Nephrology since 1992. He has been practicing Interventional Nephrology since 2001. He trained in Hemodialysis Vascular Access procedures under Dr. Jack Work at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport and is certified by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN). He established the Interventional Nephrology Program at the Overton Brooks Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Shreveport, LA in 2002. He moved to Wake Forest University School of Medicine in September 2006 to establish the Interventional Nephrology Section. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Hypertension.

Dr.  Moossavi graduated from Wurzburg University School of Medicine, Germany. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency from 1997-2000 and his Nephrology Fellowship from 2000-2002, both at State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He has practiced Nephrology in the Winston-Salem area since 2002. Dr. Moossavi was trained in Interventional Nephrology procedures by Vascular Surgeon Dr. John Ross in 2006. He is certified in Hemodialysis Vascular Access Procedures by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN). To date, he has already performed over 700 procedures.
